Guest Speaker: Marilyn Quirk

We are delighted to announce the visitation of our beloved Marilyn Quirk, foundress of Magnificat and Coordinator of its Central Service Team for 27 years. Much like a spiritual mother to all of her Magnificat daughters, she is truly God’s gift sent to us during this holy season of Christmas. While studying to become an Episcopal medical missionary in 1958, Marilyn converted to Catholicism. Devoted to Our Lady and attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, she has been involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal since 1970. Presently, she serves as a member of the Steering Committee for the Southern Regional Conference and has served on the National Leadership Council of the Renewal. Striving to live a life of devoted service to God, her family and her church, she and her husband, Peter, are especially proud of their six children and ten grandchildren. Members of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre and Legatus, Marilyn and Peter have served their parish, St. Angela Merici in New Orleans, as extraordinaryministers of the Eucharist. Marilyn passionately believes in the dignity and vocation of women, often quoting Bishop Fulton Sheen who said, “Women are the measure of civilization.” On January 29, 2000, as Marilyn received the Pontifical award Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, she joyfully carried the women of Magnificat in her heart and pledged their loyalty to the Holy Father. Come and be inspired by her personal FIAT!

Hotel Accommodations:

The following 3 area hotels have been very kind to offer a special Magnificat room rate to those who  are coming to our prayer meals and would like to spend the night or weekend in  the desert.   They are all quite close to the Indian Wells County Club where our meals are held.

In order to receive this special Magnificat rate, you  must talk only to the contact person listed below for each respective location.  Rates may vary between the  "winter" and "summer" season.  Most of them have several room sizes to  choose from (studio, 1 bedroom or 2 bedrooms) plus breakfast is included in  the room rate each morning!
